On Sunday, April 10th, artist-in-residence Debra Sparrow held a conversation with Director of the Museum of Anthropology at UBC, Susan Rowley, and a Q&A session.

Debra and Susan spoke to the history of Coast Salish weaving, its cultural importance as well as the various methods of preserving textiles and artifacts. They talked about two woven blankets in particular, which Susan will be brought along. Debra introduced her practice as well as shared a short film titled Weaving the Path.
